Silence is golden in a massage session. There is nothing worse than being disturbed by abrupt noises that are in our control to prevent such as cell phones, pagers, and on going verbal conversations. These distract you from the immersion of relaxation and rejuvenation intended for your session. So let's both honor each other and the sacred space created for you, and practice silence during your sessions. At the beginning of a session it is good to check in with you on pressure and any immediate issues or concerns, but after the first 10 minutes you should settle in to deep, belly and ocean sound breathing in order to soak up the full effect of the massage. Remember, a huge component of massage is its relaxation response, and silence promotes the body-mind connection that brings on this response. I put about 15 to 30 minutes before the next session so we will have some time to catch up or answer any questions at the end.
